Melanie Soomro – our experienced Medical Herbalist at Cliffs
As a Medical Herbalist I am used to seeing patients from newborn babies right through to the elderly and although our needs vary throughout life, the herbalists approach is always to work in harmony with the whole body.
The medicines themselves are also unique in every sense of the word. Many of the herbs have been researched in-depth; others have long traditional use and may derive from many cultures.
My fascination with herbal medicine began at Chiropractic College when I became friends with my local herbalist and used to join him on fungi forays or trips to pick wild herbs and fruit to make medicines and sometimes wine! I qualified as a Medical Herbalist in 1992 and have been a Member of The National Institute of Medical Herbalists since.
