As a temporary office assistant, we are looking for someone who has a friendly, caring manner and can be efficient when working in a busy environment.
Being a temporary office assistant mainly involves the duties of aiding the chiropractic receptionist as a primary contact point between the chiropractor and the patients and as an office organizer who manages the information regarding the health of the patients in the chiropractors office. She does not need a medical or chiropractic background, but will get job satisfaction, by being helpful to patients and all members of the team.
An office assistant’s job duties include organizing and maintaining patient records, having patients changed on time, maintaining forms and office stationary required for front desk activities and generally maintaining a continuous flow of information and patients in the clinic. They welcome patients to the Clinic and answers preliminary non-medical questions for patients.
They must respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of patients and assure client confidentiality at all times. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time.
The office assistant will work in a team with the other receptionists but will report directly to the Clinic Receptionists.
• Hours are approximately Monday 10.00am- 2.00pm, Tuesday 9.00 am- 12.30 pm, Wednesday 5.00 pm- 9.00pm, Friday 3.00 pm-8.000 pm. Additional hours are likely to be necessary so we need flexibility to increase beyond these times.
• This is a temporary position initially for a six week period.
